Pleasantdale School District 107 is part of the Federal Government’s National School Lunch Program. Again this school year, our contracted provider is Just A Dash Catering. The meals include more whole-grain foods, fruits, and vegetables every day of the week, fat-free or low-fat milk only, reduced saturated fats and sodium, and no trans fat on the menus.

Pleasantdale School District 107 offers free and reduced-price school meals and milk to students from households that meet the federal income guidelines to qualify under the USDA School Nutrition Programs. All meals provided meet the USDA requirements. 

Students currently receiving food stamps (SNAP) or “Temporary Assistance for Needy Families” (TANF) or are pre-certified based on the income reported on the Illinois All-Kids or Medicaid application do not need to fill out an application if the family receives a pre-certification letter from the district. Pre-certification letters were sent out during the first week of August via US Mail. 

Families may apply for free or reduced meals by logging into Skyward Family Access. Once logged in, click on “Food Service” on the left-hand side. Then, click on “add application” (near the top, just right of center) and provide the requested information prior to submitting the application.

Families may apply via the paper application and can access that application here. These applications should be returned to your child’s school or the District 107 Administration Building to the attention of Griffin Sonntag, Business Manager. 

Pleasantdale School District 107 does not offer meals during the summer months. In order to access these meals, please see the summerfeedingIllinois.org website for information about the closest food distribution sites.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online,  and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
