ESSER III Funding

Under the American Rescue Plan (ARP), which became law in March 2021, school districts around the country will receive funding to address the impact of COVID-19 on students' academic, social, emotional and mental health needs. This funding is known as "ESSER III."

"ESSER" is short for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief. ESSER III receives its numerical designation from the fact that the ARP ESSER Fund is the third set of COVID-related federal relief grants for schools that Congress has passed since the pandemic began.

As presented to the Pleasantdale School District 107 Board of Education on June 15, 2022, the District plans to use its ESSER III grant money in three major areas:

  • Academic Supports
  • Technology
  • Capital Improvements

Title I Funding

Disclosure of Participation (Stevens Amendment)

Projects or programs funded in whole or in part with Federal grant money must credit the Federal government for the Federal government’s portion of the financial support. In compliance with the Steven's Amendment, the federal government has given Title I and IIA monies to Pleasantdale School District 107 to support its local programs. Staff development opportunities, resource purchases, and personnel have been funded in whole or in part with Federal entitlement dollars. To learn more about how these monies are targeted or spent, please contact Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning Dr. Jennifer Ban at (708) 784-2177 or jban@d107.org.
