Interpreting Information
Here are some guidelines the staff works with in posting grades.
1. Grades will be entered at our staff's earliest convenience. This will often mean a delay between the time it is handed in and when it is recorded.
2. Blank spaces in the grade book are not zeros, and do not affect the grade average.
3. The date attached to an assignment in the teacher's grade book won't necessarily reflect the date of completion or when the assignment was due.
4. Each teacher uses a personal weighting system for grades, reflecting different priorities for types of grades (e.g. quizzes, homework, etc. ) These weighting systems won't show up l in the grade book, but will be used in computing trimester grades. Questions about weighting systems should be directed to individual teachers.
5. Because of the weighting systems, it is not possible to simply average the grades shown to come up with the present average for that class.
