Pleasantdale Middle School teaches Modular Technology to 7th, and 8th graders. Each year, every student will complete one trimester of Modular Technology. All seventh graders begin with Introduction to Technology. Seventh and eighth graders rotate to each module so that by the end of eighth grade they complete all of the modules. Seventh and eighth graders take about 2- 2 1/2 weeks to complete a module. They will do as many modules as will fit in the trimester. Students are not allowed to retake any modules.
All of the modules in the lab are from Lab Volt with the exception of CAD, Electronic Spreadsheets, and Web Design. Web Design now uses Dreamweaver to make webpages. This is the same program that students will use when going to LT High School. These were designed in-house and are completely integrated into the overall curriculum.
