Some Helpful Hints:

SNACK TIME
We have a snack time each morning. Children bring their own healthy snack in the backpack each day. Some healthy snacks might include: fresh fruit, dried fruit, fresh vegetables, crackers, cheese, yogurt, small individual canned fruit or applesauce, granola bars, plain cookies and pretzels. Please do not send chocolate or “junk food” for snack.

FOLDERS
We require each child to have a pocket folder with his/her name on it in the backpack each and every day. All notes that travel from school to home and from home to school will be in the folder. We have the children check these folders every morning, and we ask you to check them every afternoon.

FOOD ALLERGIES
We would appreciate a note if your child has any food allergies.

BUS OR PICK-UP CHANGES
If you need to change your child’s regular end of the day routine for taking the bus home, being picked-up, or changing the pick-up person, please send a note (the office appreciates 24 hour notice).

BIRTHDAYS
Birthdays are celebrated with a visit to the office, an opportunity to announce the special day with our all-school morning announcements, and a birthday sticker to wear. No birthday treats, food or other, are allowed in school and we greatly appreciate your help with this. Our PTA will send you information about our Birthday Book Club in the month of your child’s birthday.

END OF THE DAY PICK-UP
The morning half-day dismissal door is at the front center of the building. All children dismissed daily at 3:15, or 12:00 on scheduled school half days, are picked up at the back of the building. You will need to park your car on the side or at the back of the building, and come to the back door to meet your child.
