Our District's Spanish Philosophy Statement

Spanish is the study of communication and cultures through listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students will attain the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to actively participate in culturally diverse communities. We teach Spanish through:

  • early, continuous, child-centered activities.
  • interactive, communicative scenarios.
  • authentic assessments pertaining to real-ife situations.
  • a spiraling scope and sequence of the language skills and concepts.
