Letter from the Superintendent
Dear Parents and Staff Members,
Facility Expansion and Renovation
With the completion of our elementary school office renovation in August 2009, I am pleased to report that all major expansion and renovation projects are now finished for the foreseeable future. Over the past seven years, multiple projects have been completed due to the leadership of the Pleasantdale School Board and support of the community. Our students and staff members are now the beneficiaries of modern, spacious, and safe school facilities.
Strategic Planning and Parent Involvement
Pleasantdale School District has implemented many changes as a result of our strategic planning process that has involved over 100 parents and staff members. These changes have been made so that our mission becomes a reality for each student. Dedicated parents and staff members have worked side by side to assure the implementation of Board approved action plans. As a result of our collective efforts, I am proud to report that academic achievement at Pleasantdale based on a variety of standardized measures has never been better. This is a true testament to the strong school and home partnership that has defined Pleasantdale over the years.
Join our Wonderful PTA!
Pleasantdale is truly blessed with an exceptional Parent Teacher Association (PTA). It is an annual goal for all parents and staff members to join the PTA. Because the Association does such a great job year after year of providing educational and recreational activities for our students, it is easy to take it for granted. I very much encourage you to become directly involved in our PTA. Your participation will help to ensure that our students continue to benefit from a strong school and home partnership. You can express your interest to become actively involved by contacting me directly at mfredisdorf@d107.org.
Very truly yours,
Mark Fredisdorf
Superintendent
